Reset a forgotten password

If you have forgotten your ABMS password, click “Forgot your password?” on the login page, type the e-mail address you log in with and click “Send link to email”. ABMS e-mails you a link. Open the link within 6 hours, type a new password twice and click “Change my password”. You are then logged in with the new password. You do not need your user administrator for this.

  • You need access to the mailbox of the e-mail address you log in with.
  • This is for users who log in with a password. If you log in with Office 365, you cannot get a reset link from ABMS: your password is your Microsoft password, and it is reset through Microsoft. See Log in with Office 365.
  • The new password must have 8 to 128 characters.
  • The pages for resetting your password and the e-mail are in English.
  1. Open the ABMS login page and click “Forgot your password?” under the password field.
  2. Under “Type email below”, type the e-mail address you log in with in the E-mail field.
  3. Click “Send link to email”. A message tells you that you will receive an e-mail with instructions in a few minutes.
  4. Open the e-mail from abms@antenor.no. It says “Someone has requested a link to change your password. You can do this through the link below.”
  5. Click the link “Change my password” in the e-mail. A page for setting a new password opens.
  6. Type the new password in New password and again in Confirm new password.
  7. Click “Change my password”.

A message tells you that your password was changed and that you are now signed in. ABMS opens the page you were trying to reach, or else your start page. Use the new password the next time you log in.

  • The link is valid for 6 hours. If the link has expired, go back to the login page and request a new one.
  • The two passwords must match. If they differ, or the password is shorter than 8 characters, the password is not changed; type it again.
  • Office 365 users. If your user is set to log in with Office 365, no e-mail is sent. You are taken back to the login page with the message “Your user is configured to log in using Office 365. If you wish to log in using a password instead, please configure this on your user profile after logging in using your Office 365 account.” Use Login with Office 365 instead.
  • Did not ask for it? The e-mail says “If you didn’t request this, please ignore this email.” Your password does not change until someone opens the link and sets a new one.
  • No e-mail? Check that you typed the address you log in with, and look in your spam folder. If you still cannot log in, contact your user administrator.
  • Know your password but want a new one? Change it on your User profile instead; see Change language or password.
