Build or edit a company menu

A company menu is a page of boxes with links to documents, modules, reports, KPI scorecards and other content, arranged in rows. To build one, go to Super > Company menus, click New company menu, give it a name, then open it and click Edit. Add rows and fields, drag elements in from the right, add links to each field, and click Save.

  • You need the Admin level on the Super area row of your rights; this is what shows the Super menu. Your user administrator sets this; see The Users page and the rights table. Changing a menu also needs at least the Edit level on the company menus row of the rights table, and duplicating or deleting a menu needs at least the Create level on that row; see Access rights by row and level.
  • Plan the menu: which rows, which boxes in each row, and what each box links to.
  1. In the left menu, click Super > Company menus. The list Company menus opens, with the columns Name and Created at.
  2. Click New company menu.
  3. Under “Choose a name for your new company menu”, type the name. Switch on Translation to give it an English and a Norwegian name.
  4. Click Create, or Cancel to stop.
  1. In the list, click the menu. It opens in view mode; click Edit.
  2. Give the first row a title under Row title. Add rows with Add row and remove one with Remove row.
  3. Add a field to a row with Add field, or drag one of the shapes from Company menu elements on the right into the row. The help text on the page explains this: drag and drop elements from the right into the boxes, then choose a colour for the field.
  4. Give the field a title with its pencil, and choose its colour with the colour picker.
  5. Click the field’s link icon to add links. You can link to content in the system (for example documents, modules, reports, KPI scorecards or risks; “Search kpi” and “Filter on risks” help you find them), or to an external address. Give each link the Text to show. For an external address, “Prefix text with http:// or https://”.
  6. Remove a link with its trash icon, or a field with Remove Field.
  7. Set Sort order to place the menu among the company menus in the main menu. The order starts with 0.
  8. Tick Hide in main menu if the menu should not be listed in the main menu.
  9. Click Save.

The menu shows its rows and coloured fields with their links. Unless it is hidden, it appears in the main menu in the position given by Sort order. The main menu lists every company menu that is not hidden; the list is not filtered per user.

  • Duplicate. The copy icon on a menu’s row in the list makes a copy; you are asked to choose a new name for it.
  • Delete. The trash icon in the list, or Delete in the editor, deletes the menu. It is also removed from users’ favorites.
  • Linked documents. A document that is linked in a company menu cannot be archived until the link is removed.
