Read notifications

Your notifications are behind the bell icon in the top bar. A red number on the bell shows how many you have not read. Click the bell to open the list: it shows announcements from Antenor, comments where someone has mentioned you with @, new comments on documents where you take part in the current workflow step, and Read & understood requests sent to you. Opening the list marks all of them as read. Marking a notification as read does not confirm a Read & understood request.

Nothing is needed; every user has the bell.

  1. In the top bar, look at the bell icon. A red number means you have unread notifications.
  2. Click the bell. The list of notifications opens.
  3. Read through the list.

The list of notifications. When you have opened it, the red number on the bell goes away, because opening the list marks all notifications as read. If there is nothing in the list, it says “No announcements”.

  • Everything is marked as read at once. Opening the bell marks all notifications in the list as read, not only the ones you look at.
  • Larger announcements open by themselves. A large announcement from Antenor opens in a dialog on its own the first time you see it.
  • Read & understood requests stay open until you confirm them. Opening the bell does not confirm a Read & understood request. The request stays open until you confirm it in the document, and while it is open it is counted in the Actions awaiting your input box on the dashboard (if your company’s dashboard has this box), together with actions waiting for you. See The dashboard.
  • Approvals and actions are not in the bell. Documents sent to you for approval and actions waiting for you are not listed under the bell. They are counted in the tiles on the dashboard, if your company’s dashboard has them.
  • Unread comments on documents in progress. On the dashboard, the table of your documents in progress shows a speech bubble with the number of unread comments on a document. Clicking it opens the document with the comments open.
  • E-mail. This article covers the bell only. For the e-mails sent when documents move through a workflow, see Workflow steps, statuses, receivers and notifications.
