The document page in view mode

When you open a document in a standard document module (for example Avvik, Kundetilfredshet or Styrende dokumenter), it opens in view mode. You need at least the Read right on the module’s row, or to have been invited to the document’s comments. Module names, sections, fields, statuses and receiver names are your company’s own setup, so your module may look different from the examples here, which use an Avvik module from a Norwegian setup.

The document is divided into sections, one per workflow step. Each section has a tab with its name, or “Section 1”, “Section 2” and so on if it has no name. Tabs for steps the document has not reached yet are disabled.

Show all. A checkbox that shows every section at once instead of one tab at a time. It is hidden while the document is still at its first step.

The screenshot shows the bar in the Norwegian interface; the icons are the same in English, and the tooltips are in English. From left to right:

Pen (edit) In a module with revisions, opens the document in edit mode; on a published document it first starts a new revision. If someone else already has a newer revision in progress, clicking it shows a message with that person’s name instead. See Edit a published document and see earlier revisions. When you have Edit and own the current step, or the document is published in a module with revisions; not on archived documents.
Green button Takes over the step that was sent to you and opens your section in edit mode. See Approve or reject a document you received. On a document sent to you, until you click the green button.
Red button Rejects the document back to the owner of the previous step, with a message you write. See Approve or reject a document you received. On a document sent to you, until you click the green button.

Small pencil next to a field. In a module without revisions, a published document has no big pen. Instead, a small pencil is shown next to the fields of a section for users with the Admin level on the Super area row, and for users set up in the module’s workflow as possible receivers of that section’s step, of the next step or of a later step. Fields that make other rows of the form appear or disappear have no pencil. Saving a change, one field at a time, needs the Approve right on the module’s row, or the Admin level on the Super area row; see Edit a published document and see earlier revisions.
