Use ABMS on your phone or tablet

ABMS works in the web browser on your phone or tablet. It is the same ABMS as on your computer: open the same address, log in the same way, and you have the same rights and the same documents. On a narrow screen some pages are laid out differently and some controls are hidden. The bottom of ABMS pages also shows badges for Google Play and the App Store. ABMS needs an internet connection; it has no offline mode.

  • You need your ABMS login: your e-mail address and password, or your Office 365 account if your company uses that.
  • You need the address of your company’s ABMS, the same one you use on your computer.
  1. Open the browser on your phone or tablet and go to your company’s ABMS address.
  2. Log in as on your computer:
    • With a password: enter your e-mail address under E-mail and your password under Password, and tap “Login”.
    • With Office 365: tap “Login with Office 365”; see Log in with Office 365.
  3. Use ABMS as usual. The menus, documents and buttons are the same as on your computer, but some are arranged differently on a narrow screen.

To open a page you already have open on your computer, click the QR code button in the top bar on the computer and scan the code with your phone; see The top bar and the left menu.

The ABMS dashboard, or the page you opened, adapted to the screen. You see the documents and modules your rights give you, as on your computer.

  • First login. The first time you log in with a password, ABMS asks you to choose a new password before you get in, on the phone as on the computer. This does not apply to Office 365. See Change language or password.
  • The store badges. The Google Play and App Store badges at the bottom of ABMS pages lead to ABMS in the app stores. The Android app opens the same ABMS web app in full screen. The badges are not shown when ABMS already runs as an installed app. If you are unsure whether to use an app, use the browser: it gives you all of ABMS.
  • Home screen. Depending on your browser, you may be able to add ABMS to your home screen from the browser’s menu.
  • No offline mode. ABMS needs an internet connection to work.
  • No push notifications. ABMS does not send notifications to your phone. Notifications show inside ABMS, and e-mails come as usual; see Read notifications.
  • Narrow screens. Some pages have their own layout on a narrow screen, and some controls are hidden there. Reports, for example, show only the Title and Status columns on a phone, unless the report is set up to show its first two columns as well; see The report Settings tab. If you miss a control, use a computer or a wider screen.
  • Same rights everywhere. Your rights are the same on a phone or tablet as on your computer.
