Get access to Diagrams

To get access to Diagrams, send an e-mail to Antenor support. Antenor gives you an introduction to how Diagrams works, then adds you to the predefined access group Diagrams (described as “Access to diagrams page”). Membership of that group is the only way to get access: Diagrams has no row of its own in the rights table, so it cannot be given as a personal right. A colleague who is already a member of the group and has the Admin level on the Super area row of their rights can also add members; this level is what shows the Super menu.

  1. Send an e-mail to Antenor support saying that you want access to Diagrams. Name the people who need access.
  2. Antenor gets in touch to give you an introduction to Diagrams, and then gives you access.
  • To add colleagues yourself, you must be a member of the Diagrams group and have the Admin level on the Super area row of your rights; this is what shows the Super menu. Your user administrator sets this.
  • The group is shown in the list of access groups only to its own members, so a user administrator who is not a member cannot see it or add anyone to it.

Steps: add a colleague to the Diagrams group

Section titled “Steps: add a colleague to the Diagrams group”
  1. In the left menu, click Super > Users, and open the Access groups tab.
  2. In Select group, choose Diagrams.
  3. Under User membership, tick the colleagues who should have access. Ticking a user adds them to the group; the member list is described in The Access groups tab.

You can also tick the group for a user on the Users tab, under the user’s group memberships. More about access groups: Create and manage an access group.

  1. In Super > Users, open the Access groups tab and choose Diagrams in Select group.
  2. Under User membership, untick the colleague. Unticking removes them from the group.

You cannot remove yourself. Removing a member is refused when they are responsible in an active workflow or a competency responsible through the group; see Create and manage an access group.

  • The new member sees Diagrams in the left menu, after the modules and above Super.
  • In text editor fields, the new member gets the Insert Diagram button.
  • Membership is all-or-nothing. Every member of the Diagrams group can create, edit, copy and delete every diagram. There is no level for read-only access to the library. Some features inside the drawing editor need more than membership; see The drawing editor: menus, panels and toolbar.
  • Readers of documents need no access. Anyone who can open a document sees the diagrams inserted in it, whether or not they are members of the group.
  • Without access, the Diagrams menu item is missing, and a link to the diagram pages takes you to the dashboard.
  • You cannot remove yourself from the Diagrams group, and the group cannot be deleted.
