Dashboard and search: periods, counts and matches

This page gives the exact rules behind two dashboard widgets, Usage statistics and the search bar, and lists the boxes of the older dashboard layout. What each widget shows, and the count tiles, are described in The dashboard; how to search is in Search for a document.

Each period runs from the start date to the end of the end date.

Button Start date End date
Year to date 1 January this year Today
Last quarter The first day of the previous quarter Today, so the current quarter so far is included
Last month The first day of the previous month Today, so the current month so far is included
More > Last week The Monday of the previous week Today, so the current week so far is included
More > Last 12 months The same date twelve months ago Today
More > Last year 1 January last year 31 December last year
More > Custom period The date in From; the first day of the current month until you change it The date in To; today until you change it

When a period under More is chosen, the More button shows that period’s name.

Rule Detail
Starting the search Press Enter in the field. There is no search button.
Title Matches any part of the document’s title. Upper and lower case do not matter.
Document ID Matches any part of the document’s full ID, not only the first 8 characters shown in the info panel.
Which documents The search finds published documents in the document modules; which modules depends on your company’s setup. Only the latest revision of each document is found, and archived documents are not.
Text with only punctuation Not searched.
Number of results All matching documents are listed; there is no maximum.
Order of results The list is not sorted by title or date.
Module name in a result The module’s own name as it was created, not translated to your language. It can differ from the module name in your left menu.
Emptying the field Clears the result list.
Choose module Narrows the search to the modules you pick. The list offers the modules you have the Create right on. With no module chosen, the search is not narrowed.

On the dashboard, the browser tab is titled “ABMS - Dashboard” in both languages.

Your favourite documents: the Module column

Section titled “Your favourite documents: the Module column”

The Module column shows the name of the module or area the favourite belongs to, in your language. The other columns and rules are in Use favourites.

A company that Antenor has set up with the older layout has boxes instead of widgets. Each user picks which of them to show with Configure dashboard; see The dashboard.

A box can be shown only when your user administrator has made it available. The boxes, by what they list:

  • Documents in progress
  • Documents waiting for your approval
  • Actions
  • Documents sent
  • Favourites
  • Activities
  • Risk top 10, which also needs the Read right on the Risk management row

In a company that has only Risk management and no document modules, the older layout offers only the actions box, and the Risk top 10 box to users with the Read right on the Risk management row.
