Language and date formats in ABMS
ABMS is shown in English or Norwegian, chosen per user with the flag in the top bar; see Change language or password. This page lists what follows that choice, which texts are always in English, and how dates are written in each language.
What follows your language choice
Section titled “What follows your language choice”| Item | Rule |
|---|---|
| Menus, buttons, labels and messages | In the language you chose, except the texts listed under “Before you log in” and “Texts that are always in English after you log in” below. |
| When it applies | At once (the page reloads), on every page, and the next time you log in. The choice is saved on your user. |
| The language names in the top bar | Always “English” and “Norsk”, whichever language you use. |
| Names set up for your company | Module names, section names, statuses and dropdown values are shown as they were set up for your company. A value with a translation follows your language; a value without one is shown as it was written. See Add a value to a global field, with or without translation. One exception: the results of the dashboard search show the module’s name as it was created, not translated; see Dashboard and search: periods, counts and matches. |
| Notifications under the bell | Depend on the kind of notification; see Notifications under the bell: what creates them. |
Before you log in
Section titled “Before you log in”You have no language yet before you log in, so these pages are in English:
| Page | Texts |
|---|---|
| Login page | “Please provide your details”, the fields E-mail and Password, “Forgot your password?”, “Login with Office 365” and “Login”. See Logging in and passwords: the rules. |
| Password reset pages | “Type email below”, “Send link to email”, New password, Confirm new password and “Change my password”. The same page is used for choosing a password at first login. |
| Password reset e-mail | The whole e-mail. See Reset a forgotten password. |
Texts that are always in English after you log in
Section titled “Texts that are always in English after you log in”These texts in the getting-started screens are in English in both languages. The articles for other modules point out their own English-only texts.
| Where | Text |
|---|---|
| Office 365 login with an unknown address | “No existing user with this email address” |
| Dashboard search bar | “Enter search text here…”, the heading “Filter” and “No documents found” |
| Dashboard count tiles | The badge “New documents last week” |
| Dashboard report chart | “Open report” and “Chart not found” |
| Browser tab on the dashboard | “ABMS - Dashboard” |
| Notification list | “Loading…” |
| User profile | The Type values “Super user”, “Partner”, “Antenor” and “N/A”, and “Office 365” on the Login method switch |
A text that is only in Norwegian
Section titled “A text that is only in Norwegian”In Norwegian, the left-menu entry that creates a new item reads “Ny Registrering” under every document module and under KPI Scorecard. In English it reads New followed by the module name, and New scorecard under KPI Scorecard. See The top bar and the left menu.
Date formats
Section titled “Date formats”| Language | Format | Example (16 June 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Norwegian | day.month.year | 16.06.2026 |
| English | day/month/year | 16/06/2026 |
This applies to date fields and date pickers, for example the due date of an action, the dates in Equipment, and Custom period in Usage statistics on the dashboard. In the full table, the larger window that opens when you click a dashboard tile, the search box accepts a created date in either format; see The dashboard.
