The help-text and identification pages
When you create a job safety analysis, ABMS shows two pages in a row. The help-text page holds the texts that describe the probability and consequence levels of the analysis’s risk scales. The identification page lets you enter several job steps at once. The help-text page appears only once, right after you click Save in the Add JSA dialog; it is the only time the scale texts can be changed. The identification page can also be opened later from the index.
Rights

All buttons are shown to everyone who can open the pages; saving rows needs the Create right. Your user administrator grants it; see Give a user access rights.
The help-text page
Section titled “The help-text page”The heading is Please review the matrix help text and change them if necessary. The controls appear in this order.

| Category tabs | One tab per risk category: personal, asset, environment and reputation. Each tab shows the texts for that category. |
| Probability texts | The five texts for the probability levels, 1 to 5. They head the columns of the risk picker. |
| Consequence texts | The five texts for the consequence levels of the selected category, 1 to 5. They label the rows of the risk picker. |
| Pencil icon (next to each text) | Opens an editor on the right, headed Edit values on the first tab, with a field for the English text and a field for the Norwegian text. |
| Update button (in the editor) | Saves the English and Norwegian text for this analysis only, and reloads the page. Other analyses keep their own texts. |
| Close button (at the bottom) | Leaves the page and returns to the index. The analysis has already been created. |
| Save button (at the bottom) | Opens the identification page for the new analysis. |
A new analysis starts with the standard texts. The texts you leave or change here are the ones the risk picker shows for this analysis; they cannot be changed after you leave the page.
The identification page
Section titled “The identification page”The heading is JSA analysis. The page starts with no rows. The columns are grouped under Context and Risk identification.

| Save | Saves all rows as new job steps with status Open, after any job steps the analysis already has, and opens the analysis page. With no rows, the message “There is nothing to save!” appears. Needs the Create right. |
| Back | Returns to the index. Rows you have not saved are lost. |
The identification page only adds job steps. Job steps the analysis already has are not shown or changed here; change them on the analysis page.
