The risk index page
The risk index lists the risk analyses in Risk management, ten per page. From here you search, choose columns, filter, sort, export and share the list, create a new analysis, make quick edits to analysis information in Edit mode, and copy, delete or mark analyses as favourites. Everyone with the Read right on the Risk management row sees the list; some controls need more, as noted below. Your user administrator grants these rights.
This page describes the index as you see it in a wide browser window.

| Control | What it does | Values and default | Hidden or disabled | What is kept |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Search | Type text and press Enter or click the magnifier to show only matching analyses. For step-by-step use of search, filters, export and sharing, see Filter, search, export and share the risk index.
Columns
Section titled “Columns”In view mode the columns appear in this order. Click any cell in a row to open that analysis; Ctrl+click opens it in a new browser tab.
| Column | Content | Sortable |
|---|---|---|
| Title | The analysis title. Always shown. | Yes |
| Facilitator | The facilitator’s full name. | Yes, by name |
| Scope | The scope text. | Yes |
| Global fields | One column per global field set up for Risk management, such as Company, Country, Department, Location and Project. Shows the selected values, separated by commas. The fields, their names and their order are your company’s own setup. | Yes |
| Date Created | The date the analysis was created, in your language’s date format. | Yes |
| Last updated | The date the analysis was last changed. For a risk analysis, Last updated changes when the analysis information is saved with a change, from the information form or from Edit mode on the index, and on any saved change to one of its risk elements, including a risk element copied into it from another analysis; see “When Updated at changes” in The risk-element table. The star, your column, filter and sort choices, and sharing the index do not change it. | Yes |
| Finalised/Total items | For an analysis, the number of its risk elements with the status Actions completed or No action, then a slash, then the number of all its risk elements, for example 3 / 8. Empty when the analysis has no risk elements. | No |
| (no heading) | The row actions: star, copy icon and trash icon. See “Row actions” below. | — |
Sorting
Section titled “Sorting”Click a sortable column heading to sort by it:
- The first click sorts ascending.
- A second click on the same heading sorts descending.
- A third click removes that sort, and the list returns to the default order.
The default order is Title, ascending. A highlighted icon shows the column the list is sorted by. When sorting ascending, analyses with an empty value come first; descending, they come last. Analyses with equal values are ordered by creation date. Your sort order is saved for you and restored on your next visit. Headings can also be clicked in edit mode.
Filter line
Section titled “Filter line”When you choose a column in Filter, a line with that column’s control appears. Each change applies at once and is saved for you; there is no Apply button. The list returns to page 1.
| Column type | Control | When it applies | Which analyses remain |
|---|---|---|---|
| Title, Scope | Text box | When you press Enter or move the mouse out of the box | Those whose value contains the text, regardless of upper and lower case |
| Facilitator | List of facilitators | When you choose a name | Those with that facilitator |
| Date Created, Last updated | A start date and an end date | When you change a date | Those whose date falls on or between the two days. Either date may be left empty. |
| Global field | Multi-select, Select Value | When you change the selection | Those with at least one of the chosen values. Clearing all values removes the filter. |
Choose further columns in Filter to add more filters. An analysis must match every active filter, and the search text, to appear in the list.
Applied Filters
Section titled “Applied Filters”Below the filter line, Applied Filters shows one tag per active filter, with the column name and value; a date filter shows its range as start - end.
- The x on a tag removes that filter.
- The x next to Applied Filters removes all filters. Your sort order and column selection are kept.
Filters, sort order and column selection are stored with your user, so they are applied again every time you open the index, and to both exports.
Pagination
Section titled “Pagination”The list shows ten analyses per page. When there are more than ten, page controls (« ‹ 1 2 › ») appear below the list. The page you are on is not saved.
Row actions
Section titled “Row actions”The last column of each row in view mode holds these controls, in this order.
| Control | What it does | Who sees it |
|---|---|---|
| Star | Adds the analysis to your favourites, or removes it. The star is filled when the analysis is a favourite. | Everyone |
| Copy icon | Opens a dialog to copy the analysis under a new name. See Copy or delete a risk analysis. | Everyone who can open the index; shown on every row in view mode |
| Red trash icon | Deletes the analysis and all its risk elements, after a confirmation. | Users with the Admin level on the Super area row, the analysis’s facilitator and the user who created it. Deleting an analysis needs the Create right; without it the analysis is not deleted. |
Edit mode
Section titled “Edit mode”Edit mode needs the Edit right. Each analysis becomes a row of fields, and a chevron on the row opens more fields. Every field saves that analysis as soon as you leave the field or change the selection. There is no Save, Cancel, Add or Delete button in edit mode; create analyses with New risk analysis, and copy or delete them in view mode.
Only the columns selected in Select columns appear as fields. Finalised/Total items is never editable.
| Field | Control | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Title | Text box, marked with a red asterisk | Required. If you empty it, the row is marked in error and the change is not saved. |
| Facilitator | List of users, with a blank option | Choose one facilitator. |
| Scope | Text box | Not required. |
| Global fields of the organisation types company, country, department, location and project | Multi-select of the field’s values | Shown in the row. |
| Date Created, Last updated | Date fields | Read-only. |
| Other global fields (all global fields not of those types) | Multi-select of the field’s values | Shown when you open the row with the chevron, sorted by name. |
| Participants | Single-line text box | Shown when you open the row. Separate participants with commas. Disabled on an analysis with the Closed marking. |
| Date | Date picker | Shown when you open the row. The analysis date. |
| Closed | Checkbox | Shown only on an analysis that still carries a closed marking from an earlier version of the module; analyses can no longer be closed. The marking concerns the risk owner and action responsible used by that earlier version. Only users with the Admin right on the Risk management row can untick it, and it cannot be ticked again afterwards. |
For editing the full analysis information, including the matrix and report, see Edit risk analysis information.
Shared index
Section titled “Shared index”A link made with Share opens the index with the filters, sort order, columns and search text saved in the link. Whoever opens it needs the Read right on the Risk management row.
In a shared index:
- Select columns, Filter, Export, Share, New risk analysis and Edit mode are hidden. Search stays available.
- The controls for removing filters under Applied Filters are hidden.
- An information icon explains: “This is a shared Index. Any changes won’t be saved. If you want the configuration to be saved, go back to Personal Filter or get a new shared link”.
- Changing the sort order only changes what you see; it does not change your own saved order.
- A button next to the information icon takes you back to your own index, with your own saved filters, sort order and columns.
